Before addressing the issues raised in the emails the following question needs to be answered:
 
Question:  What is the operating agreement between SEMDRA LLC and South Georgia Motorsports Park (SGMP)?
Answer:  Over the last month we have had a series of meetings with the owners (Kim and Roland Woods, who also are owners of www.csrproducts.com and have been active in drag racing for many years) and manager, Tim Fleming of SGMP.
We have agreed that it is essential to exchange ideas in order to create a stronger and more successful racing series for 2010 and beyond.
First, the track guarantees the purse.  SEMDRA's role is to maximize the racer's participation.  Bear in mind that SGMP is responsible for all financial risk.  Therefore, it's essential for them to be a part of the decision making process in all matters pertaining to racing at SGMP. 
Second, SEMDRA's sponsors, associate sponsors and membership fees cover year-end bonuses, flyers, postage, website, trophies, and all other financial obligations incurred.
 
Below are some of the collective ideas from the emails and phone calls we received. After several meetings with South Georgia Motorsports Park (SGMP) the following guidelines were established by SEMDRA and SGMP for the 2010 season.
 
Location:
South Georgia Motorsports Park - 1/8 mile
 
6 Races 3 Weekends:
Saturday will be 1 complete race with points and purse.
Sunday will be another complete race with points and purse.
Racers can compete either or both days.

Friday Test & Tune before each race
 
Saturday Race Format - 2 time/qualifying runs start  9am, eliminations approximately 4pm, race should be completed by 11pm (providing no downtime).
 
Sunday Race Format - 1 time/qualifying run start 9am, eliminations approximately 12 noon, race should be completed by 6pm (providing no downtime). 
  
Rain Policy:
Rains Saturday - race Sunday, no 2nd race, (cancelled - no make-up)
 
Rains Sunday - before eliminations start - after qualifying - tech card carries over to next race
 
Rains Sunday - after eliminations start - points stop where we are at and the money is split, i.e. if we have just completed 2nd round - 2nd round loser will get their points - 2nd round winners would get 3rd round points. Money split to winners of that round.
 
Pro Mod:
It was brought to our attention that in 2010 there will be 25+ scheduled races where Pro Mods will be able to participate and we want to be considerate of their pursuit.  Therefore, Pro Mods will race on Saturday only and be able to test on Sunday in normal run order for a fee of $25.00.
 
Points:
Best 5 races count for points. 1 race out of the 6 will be dropped.
 
Classes:
All classes and indexes will remain the same, no changes.
 
Purse and Entry Fees:
Will remain the same, no changes.
 
We thought this quote from a SEMDRA racer summed up our situation:  

"If we do not look for ways to help the track offset the expenses and make it worth while for them, we will lose our opportunity to race at one of the finest facilities in the US, which happens to be in our backyard."
